Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form that combines elements of martial arts, games, music, and dance. It was created in Brazil by slaves brought from Africa, especially from present day Angola some time after the 16th century.
Abadá-Capoeira South Africa has been operating since 2000, under the leadership of Graduado Beleza. It is the Cape Town based branch of the international organization Abadá-Capoeira, which is based in Rio de Janeiro under the leadership of Mestre Camisa.
